The Welcome Center is the best place to start your Husson experience. Our friendly student ambassadors can take you on a tour of campus and answer any questions you might have. We offer a broad range of visit events, in person and virtual -- you can find our schedule at HUSSON DOT E D U FORWARD SLASH VISIT. Behind the Welcome Center you'll find our Admissions office, with Financial Aid down the hall.

Traditional Residence Halls

Husson offers a variety of residence options. Our traditional style residence halls are Bell, Carlisle and Hart Halls. Each building has 3 floors with 51 double or triple occupancy rooms on each floor. Halls are co-ed by floor, with the community makeup ranging from first-year to graduate students. Each room has a hard wire internet port and high-speed wireless connectivity, as well as a microfridge - a fridge, freezer and microwave combination. Each floor has private single user, pod-style, bathrooms and every residence hall has a laundry facility.

Edward O. and Mary Ellen Darling Learning Center (DLC)

The Darling Learning Center (or DLC) is a combination living/learning center. On the first floor you'll find experiential learning spaces and classrooms for teacher education, school and clinical mental health counseling, human relations and communications programs. The next 4 floors contain suite-style living with 2 double bedrooms and a common area and bathroom for each suite. The DLC is also where you'll find the Esports Arena, which features 35 high-end PC setups and 5 console stations, each equipped with an Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch. The arena also has a dedicated competition room reserved for students competing against other colleges across the US. Additionally, the streaming room is perfect for broadcasting competitive matches to the Husson Esports Twitch channel. All students are welcome to take advantage of the Esports Arena during open play hours, which are posted outside the room.

Townhouses

Juniors, seniors and graduate students have the opportunity to live in our apartment-style townhouses, conveniently located right on campus, but with more privacy than a traditional residence hall. Each townhouse is a two-story unit with four spacious, private bedrooms, a living room, modern kitchen, breakfast bar with high top chairs, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer in each unit, central air conditioning, high speed internet, two full baths and parking. All townhouses come fully furnished.

Life On Campus

With hundreds of student events held each year, you're only bored if you want to be. There are more than 40 student clubs and organizations on campus. And if you don't see one you like, we'll help you start one! Last year, the campus saw events ranging from themed movie nights, Maple Day, Husson's Got Talent, Fuel for Finals, and so much more!

G. Peirce Webber Campus Center

The Webber Campus Center – also known as the "CC" – is located in Peabody Hall and is Husson's main gathering place for students. Open 24/7, it's the central hub on campus, complete with an oversized fireplace, and plenty of space to hang out with your friends or meet up to study. Adjacent to the Campus Center are Cressy Marketplace and Willey's Café: two casual dining options for when you want to get something quick.

Furman Student Center

The Furman Student Center, open 24/7, is where students can play pool, ping-pong, foosball, watch TV -- or just catch up on studying during the day. At night, you can meet up with friends, and participate in activities sponsored by Student Life like karaoke, grocery bingo, team trivia, live music, comedians or other events.

Dining On Campus

Husson's campus offers several dining options that are sure to satisfy everyone. The Dickerman Dining Center features a brick-oven for pizzas; a deli, soup, salad and sandwich bar; a pasta station; and a home-style and grill station. If you need to eat on the run, you can stop at the Grab 'N Go. Near the Campus Center you'll find Cressy Marketplace, for breakfast and lunch items such as salads, sandwiches and grilled food; and Willey's Café which serves specialty coffee and other hot drinks, grilled Paninis, along with fresh homemade pastries and cookies. In Harold Alfond Hall is another small café serving coffee and pastry.

Wellness Learning Center

The Wellness Learning Center is the home of Student Health and Counseling Services, where students can get healthcare or counseling as needed. The Center also contains separate learning spaces for nurse education. It is outfitted with four new simulation bays which have programmable lifelike manikins. These manikins help teach students how to work with acute care patients in simulated health care situations. They have a pulse, they breathe -- they have a full range of bodily functions and can exhibit patient reactions that nurses may find in acute care situations.

Athletics: Newman Gymnasium

Husson offers 22 NCAA Division III varsity sports for men and women. The Husson Eagles compete in the 1,200-seat Newman Gymnasium which is home to indoor sports at Husson, including basketball, volleyball, swimming, and intramurals. It houses the Alumni Sports Hall of Fame Room, the Webber Pool – a competitive-sized pool; training rooms; an aerobics room for yoga and Zumba classes; as well as the Wadleigh Academic Center, a comfortable study lounge.

Athletics: Winkin Sports Complex, Boucher Field and O'Keefe Field

The Winkin Sports Complex is a multi-sport facility that includes the Harold Alfond Diamond for baseball, and separate facilities for field hockey and football. The complex features field turf, dugouts, a press box and seats 3,000 spectators. Boucher Field, home to our men's and women's soccer and lacrosse programs, features FieldTurf, a press box and lights for games held at night. O’Keefe Softball Field, home to our Husson’s softball team, has a press box, a new batting facility and a seating capacity of 400.

Harold Alfond Hall

Our state-of-the-art Harold Alfond Hall, home of the College of Business, offers experiential classrooms, agile workspaces and an open hub for students to gather and network. The iEX Center, an interactive learning lab, is where students create virtual and augmented reality experiences. The criminal justice simulation room helps students in studying crime scenes and participating in mock trials. In the forensic science lab, students learn to collect, examine and process evidence. The Ronan Center for Financial Technology has interactive touch screens, stock tickers and other technology so students can research investment performance with the touch of a finger.

iEX Center

The iEX Center is a new interactive learning lab, where students learn how to solve real-world problems using the advanced technology associated with the emerging XR field. They use the Center's high-tech equipment such as motion caputure suits, haptic and force feedback gloves and virtual reality systems to create virtual and augmented reality.

Beardsley Meeting House

The Beardsley Meeting House combines academic classrooms and faculty offices for the College of Science and Humanities, as well as being home to Husson's administrative offices, the Cyr Alumni Center, Gracie Theatre, and the President's Office.

Gracie Theatre

The Gracie is a 500-seat balconied theatre that offers a variety of live performances for the public. The Gracie is also an experiential learning space for the New England School of Communications' audio engineering, live sound, music production and video/film production programs. The Gracie Theatre houses a scene shop, black box theatre with classroom space, rehearsal hall, lighting lab, sound booths, and a post-production studio.

Our students' success is our number one focus. The Center for Student Success works to empower all students to develop and achieve their goals. Here you can find tutoring, writing help, accomodations for disabilities, and career and major exploration. Every year, Career Services brings employers who are interested in hiring students for internships or for full and part time positions to campus Career Fairs. These are a great way for you to network with leading employers and make important connections to build your career.

Robert D. O'Donnell Commons and Peabody Hall

The O'Donnell Commons is home to many of the health professions programs here at Husson. The Commons houses the schools of physical therapy, occupational therapy and nursing. It includes therapy labs, a simulation lab and a lecture hall as well as faculty and administrative offices such as Admissions and Financial Aid. The Commons is connected to Peabody Hall, a major academic building at Husson. Peabody is home to classrooms, newly renovated science labs, faculty offices, our Center for Student Success, Career Services, School of Pharmacy and the W. Tom and Bonnie Sawyer Library.

Wildey Communication Center (NESCom)

The Wildey Communication Center is home for the New England School of Communications or NESCom. Housed within are a TV studio, Newsroom, radio station, 75 edit stations running the latest software, 4 control audio rooms and a recording studio. Students have access to an equipment center with video cameras, digital cameras, light kits, microphones, as well as the RED Epic and a 5D Cinema Kit. Outside is our 32-foot remote mobile production unit, where students take what they've learned in the classroom on the road to cover off-campus productions. NESCom is also home to One Circle Agency, our student-run advertising and marketing firm.

Research and Education Center

The Research and Education Center is a dedicated laboratory facility that provides innovative laboratories and learning spaces for the physical therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, nursing, pharmacy and biology programs. Here, students have access to advanced equipment to conduct cutting-edge research and engage in simulated learning exercises. Occupational therapy, physical therapy and nursing students practice their skills in a community apartment where they learn to conduct care in a home environment.

Nursing Lab

As part of the nursing curriculum, students engage in simulated learning activities in the Simulation and Learning Resource Center. Simulations include activities with Standardized Patients (real people); high-fidelity manikins which come with many features, such as the ability to talk and breathe. They have heart and lung sounds; and pulses throughout the body. These simulated patients feature customized scenarios that nurses could experience in real-life patient care situations. Students also get the opportunity to work with electronic health records. In addition, the simulation experience is digitally recorded, allowing for review and reflection of performance.

Occupational Therapy Lab

The School of Occupational Therapy offers two specialized OT labs to maximize active learning. In one, students work within a full kitchen and a simulated bathroom to practice and learn real-life therapy skills such as splint making and safe use of physical agent methods. Students also have the opportunity to practice with a range of medical equipment and adaptive devices to help patients overcome their functional limitations and return to participating in meaningful life activities. As part of their learning experience, OT students can work with nursing students in the simulation lab and with physical therapy students in the student-run SOARing Eagles Healthcare clinic for un-insured and under-insured patients.

Physical Therapy Lab

Physical Therapy students learn in four specialized learning labs. Two therapeutic skills labs are used for practicing clinically important manual skills. They contain over 30 motorized and fully adjustable plinths that allow for the demonstration and practice of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular evaluation and treatment techniques. One PT lab serves as both a classroom and a lab and is furnished with state of the art physical therapy equipment. The research lab includes state of the art equipment including a computerized electronic walkway system, a clinical-grade treadmill and a metabolic cart. Our Dahl Gross Anatomy Lab is dedicated to the study of anatomy and gives students the opportunity to dissect human cadavers.
