Office of Career Services

The Office of Career Services is the Law School's largest office. Each law student is assigned a personal career counselor who will work with them throughout their law school experience and beyond. Career Services is your go-to resource for One-On-One Career Coaching, Personal Branding and Marketing, Résumé and Cover Letter Preparation, Interview Training and Professional Development. Throughout the year, the Office hosts a number of recruitment events to help law students secure summer internships and post-graduation employment.
Student Lounge

Recently renovated, the lounge offers students a casual environment for collaborative learning and group study. Within the lounge area are a refrigerator, microwaves, coffee, and a television. The lounge also plays host to special events like, the Law School's Public Justice Foundation Silent Auction, which raises funds to support students' public interest work over the summer.
Weitz & Luxenberg Trial Courtroom

The Weitz & Luxenberg Trial Courtroom, also known as the Courtroom of the Future, allows students to experience contemporary trial practice. This includes software used in trials, digital presentation and preservation of evidence, and videoconferencing for off-site witnesses and experts. Students not only learn behind-the-scenes technology but also have the opportunity to experience how technology has transformed today's courtrooms. The courtroom is modeled off of the most advanced courtrooms in New York state. The courtroom hosts the Law School's National Medical-Legal Trial Competition.
Siben Moot Courtroom

The Sidney R. Siben and Walter Siben Moot Courtroom, Room 308, serves as a center for academic endeavors and notable events at Hofstra Law. It also serves as the Law School's largest lecture hall.
In addition to daily classroom use, the Room 308 is also an excellent forum for public lectures and conferences featuring distinguished judges, academics and attorneys. Prominent among such events is the Sidney and Walter Siben Distinguished Professorship in Family Law Lecture.

The Law Library is one of the most outstanding law libraries on Long Island. While the library's primary goal is to support the curriculum and research needs of Hofstra Law's students and faculty, it also serves the University community and members of the bench and bar, who are drawn to the library by the quality of its collection and the caliber of its librarians.
The Law Library includes 13 study rooms for quiet and collaborative studying, as well as a computer research lab. All of Hofstra's library facilities, including the approximately one million volumes in the Axinn Library, are available for use by Hofstra Law students.
Lower-Level Paralegal Classroom

The Paralegal Program classroom is located in the heart of the law school building, the law library. The classroom is equipped with "HyFlex" technology to support in-person and remote learning. Courses in the Paralegal Program are taught by practicing attorneys and judges who understand the current legal trends and issues. Additionally, Paralegal students have access to the entire Law Library.

The Law School Cafe is a cashier-less micro market offering a variety of beverages and freshly prepared grab-'n'-go options, including salads, wraps, parfaits and G8 allergen-free meals, as well as snacking favorites like chips, granola bars and assorted candies. It's the perfect option for the busy law students to grab a quick and healthy bite.
Clinic Office

Hofstra Law's Clinical Program began more than 50 years ago in a second-floor walk-up above a fish store in the center of Hempstead, Long Island. Hofstra Law was a pioneer in fully integrating clinical education into a law school curriculum, and by the late 1970s, it had one of the largest clinical programs in the nation. Today, Hofstra Law hosts 10 clinical programs that offer students the chance to practice law with real clients and serve the community that surrounds them. They advocate in court, counsel clients, conduct fact investigations and mediate disputes.
The experience is both deeply challenging and immensely rewarding.

Zarb School of Business

The newly renovated Frank G. Zarb School of Business is a 52,000-square-foot space comprised of five departments, including: Accounting, Taxation and Legal Studies in Business; Finance; Information Systems and Business Analytics; Management and Entrepreneurship; and Marketing and International Business. The Zarb School is also home to the Martin B. Greenberg Trading Room, which includes 34 Bloomberg terminals, and is among the largest and most technologically advanced academic facilities in the nation. The Law School offers a joint JD/MBA with the School of Business, which is typically completed in four years.
Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center

Hofstra's new 1,000 square foot Center for Cybersecurity Innovation and Research features leading technology and world-class simulation software. This includes a "War Room," which creates immersive, realistic cyberattack scenarios for students to study and react to in real-time. The virtual experience simulates the high-pressure atmosphere of a cyberattack, from first detection to recovery. The center also boasts 36 computers, a server room, drones, augmented and virtual reality devices and status boards where students can manage operations and information sharing. The center is accessible to Hofstra Law students as part of our interdisciplinary offerings.
Mack Student Center

The student center is the main hub for student activity on campus. It contains a bookstore, bank, post office, movie theater, hair salon, many dining options, and club offices. Dining options include sushi, kosher options, a salad bar, a grill, made to order wraps and sandwiches, and a Sbarro.
Graduate Residence Hall

The Graduate Residence Hall is one of Hofstra University's newest residence facilities. The five-story building offers apartment-style living for 224 graduate, law and medical students, and is just a short walk to the Law School building. The Graduate Residence Hall has single and double bedrooms within two-, three- and four-bedroom suites.
Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine

The renowned Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine is built upon the strong clinical and graduate medical education programs of the Health System and the robust research and academic programs of Hofstra University and the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research at Northwell Health System.
Hofstra Law students can work with medical students through our Gitenstein Institute for Health Law and Policy, as well as through out medical-legal partnership with Northwell Health.
Fitness Center

Mack Fitness Center features cardio machines, a full weight room, ADA certified circuit, a Cycle Studio, a Yoga and Pilates Studio, Aerobics Studio, an Indoor track, six basketball hoops, and so much more. The fitness center is in walking distance from the law school building.
Nassau County Courthouse

Hofstra Law is at the center of Long Island government. During the school year or during the summer, you have the opportunity to work in one of the nine Nassau County courts. Most of the courts, including the Supreme Court, are only a five-minute drive from campus.

New York City is the hub of the nation's legal profession. In just a short train ride, you can be working at the courthouse downtown, attending a Hofstra Law networking event at a firm overlooking Bryant Park, or just meeting a friend for drinks in the Village. Whether it's for work or fun, our students take full advantage of everything New York City has to offer. The Law School hosts many events in Manhattan so that you can meet and talk to our alumni working in the area, and many law students intern in the City during the school year.
