We are standing by the iconic Adelphian Fountain, located at the original heart of campus, between the Administration Building, Kulp Hall and Westlawn Dining Hall. Goshen College is home to more than 900 students from more than 35 states and 20 countries, and in our tight-knit community, you'll always find a friendly face. In fact, the City of Goshen was recently named Indiana's Community of the Year, and we are proud to play a role in making our town a wonderful place to learn and live. Our Science Building offers modern research and laboratory facilities in a historic setting. Home to our STEM programs, this building is equipped for research in the genetic, cellular, molecular, vertebrate, aquatic and marine areas. With a 10-to-1 student faculty ratio, classes in any department are sure to provide personalized instruction and opportunities to work directly with professors, and 92 percent of students in these majors who apply to medical or grad school are accepted. Even in your first semester here, you'll have access to scientific instrumentation that is usually reserved for upper-level or graduate students at larger universities.

At Goshen College, we love music. One of the top musical venues in the region, the Music Center is home-base for anyone who loves to make or experience music of all kinds. Sauder Concert Hall is known for its world-class acoustics that rival some of the best venues in the world, and spaces like Rieth Recital Hall offer more intimate spaces for making and experiencing music. Whether you're majoring in music or just an aficionado, you'll have opportunities to perform in one of our many ensembles, work backstage during a show or simply take in one of the many outstanding performances here.

The Roman Gingerich Recreation-Fitness Center is the home of Maple Leafs athletics, including our 14 intercollegiate athletic teams, as well as intramural sports. The building hosts three full-size basketball and multipurpose courts, a 200-meter indoor track, a modern weight room and exercise machines, four racquetball courts, a turf training room and an exercise science lab. Outside are lighted tennis and sand volleyball courts, soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, and the 400-meter Eigsti Track and Field Complex. With more than 200 other NAIA scholar-athletes in the last five years, we prepare you to excel not only in competition, but in the classroom and your career.

With all that goes on in the classroom, it's nice to have a relaxed and comfortable place to call home. Whether you're on your way to class in the morning or preparing for a late-night study session, Java Junction is the place to stop for a cup of coffee, a smoothie or a milkshake. Located inside the Connector and attached to our residence halls, the centrally-located student-run coffee shop serves as a community meeting and study space, where you'll always find a familiar face or a student activity taking place.

You might find yourself in Schrock Plaza for an ice cream social, a candlelight vigil or just to relax and study on a sunny day. Centrally located between the library, church-chapel and Union Building, Schrock Plaza is a gathering place for outdoor events and student activities.

The lawn between the Kratz, Miller and Yoder residence halls plays a central role in campus life activities. This open grassy field hosts intramural sports such as soccer, touch football, ultimate frisbee and more. It's also the designated location for campus grill-outs, hammock set-ups, lawn games and year-round fun.

Here in the heart of campus, you'll notice the iconic red Broken Shield sculpture and the Peace Pole, both of which serve as visual symbols of Goshen College's commitment to global citizenship and peacemaking. Proclaiming "May peace prevail on Earth" in eight world languages, the peace pole serves as a gathering spot on campus for vigils, reflections and more.

Westlawn Dining Hall offers a variety of all-you-can-eat options to meet the food needs of all students with a variety of gourmet, fresh and local foods. With selections from our own kitchen garden, fresh eating is guaranteed. Grab a table with your friends or find a couch with a good book, either way, be sure to stick around for dessert! You can also grab a quick lunch in the Leaf Raker Snack Shop across campus or have a drink in the student-run Java Junction Coffee Bar.

Here in the historic Visual Arts Building, a multitude of resources await to help you to explore your creativity to its fullest potential. With a full ceramics lab, large drawing and painting rooms with high ceilings and ample natural light, an Apple computer lab with unlimited access to Adobe CreativeSuite programs and a photo studio tucked away on the top floor, students can be found working on projects at all hours in the building. You'll have opportunities to exhibit your work at the Hershberger Art Gallery in the Music Center as well as the Library Art Gallery.

The newly renovated Hunsberger Commons in the Union Building offers a lively and engaging space to study, eat and gather. It hosts campus facilities such as the Juanita Lark Welcome Center, your first stop when you visit campus; the Leaf Raker Cafe, where you can grab a quick meal while you study; and Hunsberger Haitian Art Collection.

Goshen College is rooted in the Anabaptist-Mennonite faith. The foundation of this historic peace church tradition is felt across many aspects of campus life. The Church-Chapel in College Mennonite Church plays a critical role in shaping the spiritual, intellectual and social growth of students at Goshen College. This worship space brings the community together through regular Sunday church services as well as chapel and convocation programs each week, and you can find opportunities to strengthen your faith through a variety of on- and off-campus worship experiences.

The Harold and Wilma Good Library provides a quiet space to study, work on class projects and meet up with your peers. A computer lab is stationed on the first floor while study areas are scattered throughout the three-story building, and you'll find all the help you need with the Academic Resource and Writing Center. In the library you'll also find the American Sign Language lab, the Library Art Gallery, a multimedia Television production lab, and the Mennonite Historical Library.

At Goshen College, our core values call us to care for all of creation. And we're fortunate to have Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center just 30 miles down the road. With 1,189 acres of wetlands, woodlands, prairies and savannas, Merry Lea is a natural sanctuary that provides high-quality and one-of-a-kind programs focusing on sustainability and the environment, from kindergarten to the graduate level. Programs like our Agroecology Summer Intensive and Sustainability Leadership Semester give students an opportunity for hands-on experience, and Merry Lea's trails are open every day of the year. all are welcome to come down and explore!
