Welcome to the Daytona Beach, Florida, campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Located just 3.5 miles from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and about 50 miles from Orlando, the location and climate are ideal. As we look around campus, you'll discover many of the reasons our students excel; first-rate facilities, incredibly well-equipped labs, state-of-the-art intelligent classrooms and living/ learning environments that are guaranteed to impress. This is the Henderson Administration and Welcome Center and home to the Admissions Visitor Center, where visiting prospective students and their families can learn more about campus, our majors and the admissions process. Legacy Walk is the main artery through campus. Bronze plaques embedded along the sidewalk mark milestones in aviation and aerospace history and stately palm trees line the walkway. From this vantage point, you can see almost every academic building, the residence halls, the student union and even the flight line at the far western end.

The Eagle Fitness Center Complex offers something for everyone: a variety of strength, cardio and functional training equipment, rock climbing wall, fitness classes, seminars and events. Outside, the pool has plenty of space to lounge in and out of the water, play water volleyball or basketball, swim laps, and test your most imaginative robotic and marine research projects.

With its iconic design and dynamic skylight, the Mori Hosseini Student Union is the centerpiece of campus that serves as a hub for student services and a perfect place to connect and engage. You'll find an expansive library, a variety of dining options, a gaming area and a rooftop Flight Deck with an amazing runway view. The Student Government offices, the WIKD radio broadcast center, the student newspaper editorial offices, Career Services, the bookstore and much more can be found here. It is also where you'll find ERNIE Central – the one-stop shop for student services.

The O'Maley College of Business is home to classrooms and labs that support every facet of aviation and aerospace business – as well as other industries. Here, you get to put your theories to the test, like in the Airport Technology and Operations Lab where students use emerging technology to improve safety, security and operations for peak airport efficiency. The specialized curriculum brings added value you can't get anywhere else.

Stepping inside the Simulation Center provides an opportunity to see the most technologically advanced flight training devices anywhere. As a flight student, you'll spend time perfecting your flying proficiency on the ground, as well as in the air. Behind the controls, you'll forget you're not at altitude. No need to refuel these, just get comfortable to practice and refine your skills.

Whether or not you plan to fly at Riddle, you're bound to be impressed by what you see here at the Hagedorn Aviation Complex. The sculpture gracing this plaza is called Pathways to the Sky and inspires us to soar as students, as citizens and as members of the amazing Embry-Riddle community.

All your preliminary flight preparation is done here, in the Flight Operations Center. The professional atmosphere here is evident. Once you're assigned an aircraft for your flight, you'll review its maintenance records, calculate weight and balance, check weather and conduct all of your preflight planning in this state-of-the-art, efficient and comfortable operations center.

As a flight student, aircraft in our large fleet become your classrooms in the sky. You and your flight instructor will taxi from the ramp to your assigned runway at Daytona Beach International Airport and follow the course you have set, refining your skills to become a confident, accomplished professional pilot. The beach, the city and the central Florida environs become the backdrop for the time of your life. Facilities like this are found nowhere else. This is how Embry-Riddle started, and we still set the standard for aviation instruction today.

The complexities of today's aircraft require top professionals to ensure airworthiness. Aviation Maintenance is one of the most in-demand professions today. Here, you'll get your hands on piston and turbine engines, airframe components and electronics as you work toward your Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings in addition to the degree that will float your resume right to the top.

The College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle is the premier and one of the most respected anywhere in the world. You'll soon see why when you walk into the amazing labs. These state-of-the-art facilities provide hands-on training for a variety of disciplines that support the aviation industry. Air Traffic labs, meteorology facilities, an upset trainer and even a high-altitude lab that simulates the effects of oxygen deprivation so that pilots will know what's happening should they experience that emergency in the air. There's truly some fascinating stuff in here.

This five-story building is capped by the largest university-based telescope in the state of Florida. Below its impressive dome, the focused disciplines of Astronomy, Space Physics, Applied Mathematics, Human Factors, Communication, Engineering Physics, Homeland Security and others fill classrooms and labs. This is also the home of the Aerospace Physiology major, the only one of its kind in the nation.

The Lehman Building is home to the engineering disciplines at Riddle: Aerospace, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical and Software. In addition to smart technology classrooms, you'll discover lab after lab. Here is where the wind tunnels, rocket lab, aircraft design lab and many other technologically advanced facilities are located.

An annex of the College of Engineering, the M Building is home to the Mechanical Engineering program. Student teams use this space to develop vehicles for national and international competitions, from conception to completion, applying lessons from the classroom to the real world. How and what we'll drive in the future is a focus in the Center for Motorsports Engineering.

Embry-Riddle is an academically focused university of the highest order, but we take our recreation seriously, too. The Eagles hold so many athletic distinctions that we're running out of space to display the banners and trophies. At Riddle, we recognize that sports and recreation are important parts of developing a productive, happy individual, and we make the investment in the facilities our students enjoy.

ROTC has a significant presence at Embry-Riddle. All three branches are fully represented. Air Force, Army and Navy (which includes the Marines) each have their offices and classrooms in Spruance ROTC Center. Embry-Riddle is proud of the decades of contributions it has made to our national defense - a collaboration almost from our very beginning. Each student has the option of exploring the possibilities for a career in any branch of the U.S. military.

Living on campus is an exciting opportunity for Embry-Riddle students to make positive and lasting friendships. Riddle students often characterize their time in the residence halls as the best part of their college experience. Living Learning Communities (LLCs) are first-year residential communities designed to connect students with academic resources for their respective major, college or department. Special programs and events are created for each of the communities that encourage student growth and development outside of the traditional classroom setting.

The Center for Faith and Spirituality is dedicated to the third pillar of wellness, the spirit. We encourage and support all students in nurturing this vital part of being, whether or not it's within a religious framework. At the center of our quad, this aluminum replica of the Wright Brothers plane that took flight from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on Dec. 17, 1903, reminds us daily of how far we've come and inspires us to look ahead and imagine how far we'll go and what contribution each of us will make. It's also a popular spot to take photos.
