The Frick Center is the heart of campus life at Elmhurst. It's where you'll grab a bite at the Main Café, sip on a Starbucks cold brew, play Ping-Pong, or snag some gear from the Spirit Shop. As the home base for student clubs and organizations, the Frick Center also offers spaces like the Commuter Lounge and prayer rooms, making it the go-to spot for meeting new people and exploring your interests. Staffed with an Information Desk to help with anything you need, the Frick Center is a lively and welcoming place for students, faculty, and guests.

Elmhurst University's Campus Mall is the central outdoor hub for student life. Conveniently located near the Frick Center and several residence halls, it's the go-to spot for significant outdoor events like New Student Orientation or for simply hanging out with friends, playing frisbee, or relaxing in one of the Adirondack chairs. Whether you're soaking up the sun or catching up on the patio, the Campus Mall is always buzzing with activity. At the west end of the Mall stands the welcoming redbrick facade of the Hammerschmidt Memorial Chapel. Seating up to 800 people, it hosts our largest indoor gatherings and is a key venue for students and guests alike.

West Hall, Elmhurst's newest and most modern residence hall, is thoughtfully designed for upperclassmen seeking greater independence. Opened in 2008, this LEED-certified building offers an apartment-style experience with private study rooms, kitchens, and suite bathrooms. West Hall features a mix of single-gender and coed suites, with double and single rooms that share a comfortable, furnished lounge. With amenities such as air conditioning, study rooms, kitchenettes on every floor, and free laundry, West Hall supports a close-knit yet independent living experience for 170 students. And for those desiring even more autonomy, Elmhurst also offers apartment complexes and on-campus houses, providing students with distinctive housing options.

Welcome to Schick Hall, the oldest and largest of our six on-campus residence halls housing 208 students. Named after the university's fifth president, Herman J. Schick, this historic coed hall offers both single and double rooms, each furnished with extra-long twin beds, desks, dressers, bookshelves, and built-in closets. Schick residents enjoy complimentary laundry facilities on every floor, shared lounges equipped with microwaves and TV/DVD setups, and reliable wireless internet access. Centrally located, Schick is just a short walk from the Campus Mall, Frick Center, and Memorial Hall, making it a prime spot for student life. With over 100 years of Bluejay memories, Schick Hall is a true campus gem.

We take pride in our winning tradition and the academic success of our athletes, most of whom maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Just as impressive is R.A. Faganel Hall, home to basketball, volleyball, and wrestling. Featuring a two-lane track, updated bleachers, new scoreboards, and a multi-use Mondo sport surface, Faganel Hall creates a dynamic atmosphere for its crowd of 1500 raving fans.

Located a short drive from campus, Elmhurst Hospital houses our cutting-edge Simulation Center, where nursing students refine essential skills using lifelike patient models. This includes administering medication and IV placement. Our hands-on training significantly contributes to nearly all nursing graduates securing employment within six months, with positions at prestigious institutions such as University of Chicago Medicine, Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and Rush University Medical System. Also, coming soon is a new Health Sciences building. With an anticipated completion date of Spring 2025, the new building will further equip the university to provide rigorous curriculum that integrates theoretical coursework with practical experience, equipping students for a wide range of careers in health care.
