Welcome to Bryant University! My name is Hillary, and I will be your tour guide today. Founded in 1863, Bryant has a tradition of inspiring excellence in a changing world. Our 465-acre campus in Smithfield, Rhode Island offers an inspired combination of contemporary architecture and natural New England beauty and is conveniently located within 20 minutes of Providence, Rhode Island's capital city. We're starting our tour at The Archway, a prominent landmark near the center of campus. This ornamental entranceway on the path to South Hall was the only physical element carried over from our old Providence campus when we moved to Smithfield in 1971. It also plays an important role in a unique Bryant tradition where students avoid walking under The Archway until graduation.

Quinlan / Brown Academic Innovation Center

The award-winning Quinlan-Brown Academic Innovation Center, or AIC, is Bryant's groundbreaking resource for creativity, innovation and experiential learning. Bryant is committed to interdisciplinary study and classes from the College of Business, College of Arts and Sciences, and School of Health and Behavioral Sciences are taught in the building. The AIC is designed to support a wide variety of teaching and learning styles, and to help students develop their leadership and real-world design thinking skills through business simulations, rapid prototyping, and collaborative group work. It also houses the Innovation Forum, an unmatched learning environment that can hold up to 300 students, and the Welcome Center, where information sessions are held and from which campus tours depart.

Bello Center for Information and Technology

The George E. Bello Center for Information and Technology is the home of the Douglas and Judith Krupp Library, which supports students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the community. The Krupp Library's skilled and friendly staff can help you conduct research and make the most of the library's resources. The Bello Center is home to several other campus resources as well including the Bloomberg Terminals, which are the same tool used by professionals in the financial marketplace. You'll also find the Heidi and Walter Stepan Grand Hall - a space for exhibitions, receptions and lectures -, the C.V. Starr Financial Markets Center, a simulated trading floor and our Data Visualization Lab, which is equipped with state-of-the art virtual reality and data visualization technology."

Ronald K. and Kati C. Machtley Interfaith Center

The Ronald K. and Kati C. Machtley Interfaith Center provides a special gathering place where all members of the Bryant community can explore their spirituality and practice their faith. The phrase "In the beginning", written in six different languages, adorns the main worship area, which seats 200 and offers a place for quiet reflection. Services for a variety of religious faiths, concerts, and discussions with speakers on topics related to religion and spirituality are held in this space throughout the year. The Interfaith Center is also home to Bryant's Campus ministries, which are available as a source of support, guidance, and spiritual development.

Michael E. '67 and Karen L. Fisher Student Center

The Michael E. '67 and Karen L. Fisher Student Center is Bryant's campus living room. Its comfortable couches, fireside lounge and ample workspaces provide the "elbow room" you need in a relaxed environment. Fisher is also the home of a number of student organizations, the University Bookstore, and the PwC Center for Diversity and Inclusion, which comprises the Intercultural Center, the Gertrude Meth Hochberg Women's Center, the Pride Center, Disability Services, and more. If you're looking for a morning boost or late-night study snack, you can find it at Dunkin' or one of the other dining options found in the Fisher Center.

Residence Hall

Living in the residence halls is an important part of a Bryant student's experience, and we provide a number of housing options so you can find your best fit from traditional first-year housing to suites to townhouse-style apartments for seniors. Right now, we're outside one of our suite-style residence halls, which houses 200 upperclass students. More than 80 percent of students live on campus and Bryant is committed to fostering a fun, healthy and safe environment. Dorm doors are locked 24/7. Students with a valid ID are able to access any residence hall until 11 p.m. After 11 p.m., only students who reside in a particular building are able to access it. Our 24-hour public safety force patrols all residence hall entrances.

Koffler Center

As technology rapidly evolves, effective communication and media skills are more necessary than ever. Bryant students are prepared for the future because they graduate with the knowledge, skills, and experience to be strong communicators. The Koffler Center is Bryant's communications hub. The center features state-of-the-art production facilities where you can use an impressive array of field gear for media projects as well as a high-definition television studio and control room, multiple editing stations, and several dedicated sets, including a news set and a sitcom set. Koffler is also home to WJMF, Bryant's radio station, which anyone can listen to at www.wjmfradio.com.

Unistructure

This is Bryant's Unistructure, which supports a variety of administrative and academic functions. At the crossroads of Administration Hall and Academic Hall is the two-story Koffler Rotunda with its signature dome. The Rotunda is sometimes described as the central hub of the Bryant community.

The Koffler Rotunda is the central gathering space for the Bryant community. More commonly known as "The Roto," it serves as a meeting place for students between classes. You can find two large media walls at the ends of the Roto as well as small study areas and a café. Some campus functions are also held here, including student group information sessions, as well as student events. If you look up, you can see the Roto's signature dome, which is an awe-inspiring sight during Bryant's annual holiday tradition, Festival of Lights.

Administration Hall

Within the Administration Hall, you will find campus life essentials such as Salmanson Dining Hall - the main dining area on campus - , a post office and the Amica Center for Career Education. Salmanson, or "Salmo", offers all-you-care-to-eat dining from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and globally inspired food choices. The Amica Center empowers Bryant students throughout their career development and planning process. You can also find the offices of Admission and Financial Aid here.

Academic Hall

Academic Hall, a wing of Bryant's Unistructure, houses the majority of the University's and faculty offices as well as Bryant's School of Health and Behavioral Sciences, which includes state-of-the-art labs that support a variety of research opportunities for undergraduate students. Academic Hall's Janikies Auditorium is a great place to enjoy a production by the Bryant Players theater group, a noteworthy speaker, a comedian, or a musical performance. Also in the building are the Centers for Student Success, which offer a wide variety of academic success programs and services, including the Academic Center for Excellence and the Writing Center, and are focused on helping you become an independent, confident learner.

Physician Assistant Learning Center

The Physician Assistant Learning Center is the newest wing of the Unistructure and the home of Bryant's Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program. Graduate students have access to state-of-the-art classrooms, a high-fidelity simulation laboratory, and a physical examination laboratory. They can also study anatomy at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School in Providence. Bryant's PA students enhance their learning by working with patients in 12 clinical specialty rotations and are paired with pre-eminent doctors. And because healthcare is big business, they are introduced to the fundamentals of management ensuring that they're uniquely prepared to practice in this fast-growing, ever-changing sector.

Chace Wellness Center

The Elizabeth and Malcolm Chace Wellness Center helps students stay healthy and at the top of their game. The center's pool, exercise studio, and fitness center are modeled after private-sector health clubs and open to all Bryant students. During basketball season, be part of the Dawg Pound and cheer for the men's and women's teams in the center's main gym which can accommodate 2,700 fans. In addition to the competition court, the main arena also houses two other basketball courts that are used during practice sessions. A recently-completed addition houses athletic training facilities with the latest in equipment and technology for rehabilitation, therapy, and other medical treatment.

Strength and Conditioning Center

The award-winning Bulldog Strength and Conditioning Center includes weightlifting stations, workout areas, a nutrition station, and an indoor turf sprint area. With its high ceilings and wall of windows, the center is an open, bright and inviting place that serves 550 student-athletes across 25 Division I sports as well as the members of our intramural and club sport teams. At 10,000 square feet, the Center is large enough so teams, including the entire football team, can use their time efficiently and work out together in one rotation.

Beirne Stadium

We're standing in the middle of Beirne Stadium, home to the Bryant football team. We have 25 varsity teams, competing at the NCAA Division I level in a variety of sports. Intramural and club teams are also popular with more than 50 percent of our students participating. If you choose not to take part in organized sports but still like to stay fit, we offer plenty of facilities on campus to help you with that.

Conaty Indoor Athletic Center

Within the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center's 80,000 square feet is a full 120-yard state-of-the-art turf field. This best-in-class facility isn't just a great place to play, it enables members of the Bulldog men's and women's lacrosse, golf, football, baseball, softball, soccer, and field hockey teams to prepare for each season in the off months, even during the harshest weather. Bryant is the only Division I school in New England that offers such exceptional indoor facilities.
