Set in rolling green fields, the Ford Complex (often called "the castle") inspires students to dream big and reach high, personally and professionally. When Henry and Clara Ford funded the construction of the iconic Ford Buildings in the 1920s, they were investing in Martha Berry's one-of-a-kind vision — an education that combines practical work experiences and academic success to promote character development, spiritual growth and a commitment to serving others. Since then, generations have agreed there's no place like Berry. Students looking to build lasting relationships in a community committed to their well-being will find their fit at Berry — with lots of space to grow.

Viking Fusion Studios

Deeply committed to teaching, Berry professors forge close relationships with students, which are key to Berry’s commitment to personal and professional development. They believe academic advising should include life mentoring, offering guidance on which major is the best fit, and helping evaluate opportunities that lead to a rewarding position or graduate school. Small classes allow students to get to know their professors, which leads to collaborating on projects and possibly co-authoring research articles for publication. Students also put classroom knowledge into practice through hands-on work experience on campus. For example, as early as their first semester, communication majors get involved in producing content for the campus newspaper and Viking Fusion, a student-run website for multi-media, broadcasting, short film and podcasting.
Sisters' Theatre

At Berry, in addition to your major, there are diverse opportunities to fulfill your passions. In fact, more than 60% of the current Berry College Theatre Company is made up of non-theatre majors. Sisters Theatre is a beautiful and well-equipped “black box” performance space that can be configured for a variety of student-managed productions. The liberal arts are the cornerstone of a Berry education, and year-round events — from music and theatre performances to art exhibitions — reinforce this mindset. Berry annually attracts internationally renowned speakers like presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, NFL head coach Tony Dungy, social justice lawyer Bryan Stephenson and Pixar co-founder Ed Catmull, demonstrating further that a college education extends beyond the classroom.

Student staff who have succeeded in specific courses are available to answer questions, help with homework and support your studying. Or you can opt for a one-on-one study strategy session with an academic consultant to improve time management, test-taking, note-taking and work-life-study balance. Berry was founded on non-denominational Christian values that emphasize service, patience, humility and a spirit of generosity. The college encourages examination of faith and values, and is welcoming and respectful to those from a variety of religious backgrounds.
