Welcome to Bergen Community College, New Jersey's number one college for associate degree graduates! And since you're here, we're hoping you're planning to add your name to that list too. So, let's get started in the heart of our main campus, the quad. Nestled between the Pitkin Education Center and the Health Professions Integrated Teaching Center, this green overflows with activity throughout the semester. From lectures in the outdoor classroom, to lunch with friends and fun with frisbees, the quad captures the spirit of Bergen's student body. This convenient and completely-redesigned resource puts all of the College's services at your fingertips including registration, financial aid, the bursar, advising, counseling and even career and transfer services. Members of the federal government, including First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, visited in 2022 to applaud Bergen's efforts in supporting student success. The bottom line is: students get it all done ... at one time ... at one place ... in The One-Stop!

Did you know our men's basketball team once completed a perfect regular season by winning all thirty of its games and even advanced to the NJCAA Final Four? With new bleachers and flooring recently installed, maybe it's time for you to level up with the Bulldogs athletics program, which features volleyball, soccer and e-sports teams! Even if you're not a team-sports athlete, students can use the gym for pick-up games, wellness and exercise science classes and community events. Go Bulldogs!

From criminal justice to business administration and fashion design, Bergen’s classrooms set the scene for learning and engagement. The College’s incredible faculty feature some of the leading minds in community college education, with a former U.S. Professor of the Year among them. With such an excellent faculty, it’s no surprise they’ve helped Bergen alumni transfer to many of the nation’s best institutions - including every Ivy League school, Stevens Institute of Technology and Rutgers University!

Bergen cut the ribbon on the one-million-dollar STEM Student Research Center just a few years ago, with a little help from a student-constructed robot. Our STEM Center is one of the only labs completely dedicated to student research at a community college in the entire country! Inside, students complete projects on drones and robotics, high-altitude balloons and experimental testing with wind turbines and solar panels. A project developed in the center even earned first place honors in the national Community College Innovation Challenge sponsored by the National Science Foundation and American Association of Community Colleges!

Make sparks fly as part of the College's welding, manufacturing and industrial technology programs in the Stryker Manufacturing Lab. Inspired by the careers that keep the country moving, these programs provide you with the skills you need to immediately enter the workforce and begin earning life-sustaining wages. With industry-standard equipment and partnerships with local employers, you will become ready to compete in the job market from day one.

The Interdisciplinary Center provides a realistic learning environment that replicates the collaboration that happens in medical facilities. Here, health professionals of all disciplines work side-by-side to tackle realistic simulations that involve robotic patients, trained actors, and state-of-the-art technology. It's an unrivaled experience that prepares you for the day-to-day inner-workings of a hospital or doctor's office ... without spilling a drop of blood, but maybe some sweat!

Step into the dental hygiene lab and you'll wonder if you've left a college campus and entered your dentist's office! Our industry-standard facility comes complete with all of the trappings of a first-class office environment. Students even have the opportunity to show their skills for members of the community through low-cost preventive cleanings offered throughout the semester. These are just a few of the reasons the region's best dental hygienists get their start at Bergen!

In three … two … one … students preparing for careers in broadcasting, journalism and media are live and on-air in Bergen's cutting-edge studio. Whether students want to work behind the camera or in front of it, Bergen provides a pipeline to media for future filmmakers, reporters and video editors. With New York City just over the river, Bergen represents the first step to a world of opportunities in the region's media industry.

If you can take the heat, we'll see you in our kitchens! From the frying pan to the frontlines, Bergen's hospitality, culinary and restaurant management programs prepare students for some of the hottest jobs in the world. Students learn from faculty who have worked at some of the country's best restaurants, hotels and venues, offering them the expertise they need to succeed. Students even operate a cafe where they can fine-tune their skills for real customers from the community. Bon appetit!
