Campus Recreation Center

College isn't all about breaking a mental sweat. We know that movement and recreational activities help improve mental and physical health while keeping you balanced, and reducing fatigue. Our Campus Recreation Center is consistently named one of the best in the nation, and you'll see why. Over 21,000 pounds of lifting weights, an indoor track suspended in the air, six basketball courts and three swimming pools. Consider yourself an adventure seeker? Conquer the top of our two climbing walls. However you prefer to break a sweat, you'll find it everything you need to stay on top of your physical health at the Campus Rec Center.

The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning or DAAP, provides students with a dynamic and exciting environment to study, with a reputation among the very best art and design schools in the world. Naturally, DAAP features a variety of studio and maker spaces, including a newly renovated 4,000 square foot build lab and a 3-D printing lab, photography studios, a library, and galleries. Every year, the college hosts DAAPworks, a highly anticipated annual event that features senior thesis projects from each program. In DAAP, students explore their passions and create artifacts, products, environments, and graphics that impact and improve the world.

The Walter C. Langsam Library is the largest library on campus, and has an entire floor open 24/7 for studying, plus a coffee shop for late night pick-me-ups.

Main Street, where you're standing now, is the heart of campus. Here you'll experience pivotal events like Welcome Week's Student Organization Fair, Bearcats Fridays, and the Homecoming Parade. The Steger Student Life Center is a hub for student activities, engagement opportunities, and support services. It is also home to UC's identity-based centers including the UC Women's Center, the LGBTQ Center, and other cultural, service, religious and professional groups. Across campus, The African American Cultural and Resource Center fosters an atmosphere for enlightenment about the Black experience at Cincinnati. There is a place for everyone to find their communities and feel the power of belonging.

Engineering and Business

The College of Engineering and Applied Science immerses students in a rigorous and innovative curriculum and the culture of real-world, experience-based learning through co-op. Students rotate semesters in the classroom, and out in the real-world, working full-time for an employer, completing 5 co-op rotations during their time as an undergrad. That means UC engineers graduate with over a full year of paid industry experience. The Lindner College of Business, recognized as one of the nation's best business colleges, combines a state-of-the-art building with hands-on experience and industry partners. With multiple Fortune 500 companies and thriving startups, Cincinnati is an ideal location for business students looking to tackle the world's challenges.

Living on campus is an exciting part of the college experience and unlike any other you will have in your lifetime. It makes walking to class, making friends, and getting involved in clubs easier. Beyond the grassy field, you can see many of our 17 beautiful residence communities that offer three types of living styles: apartment, suite, and traditional. When you're hungry, head to one of UC's four dining halls and many cafes throughout campus. Every day our culinary team creates a unique menu, offering a variety of delicious options for your eating preferences. We even have an on-campus dietitian that offers special events to educate students on healthy eating.

Medical Campus

Adjacent to Uptown campus, Cincinnati's Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences are located on the med campus. Each college hosts a variety of programs that will prepare you for the medical profession through leading-edge education, patient care, innovative research, and community collaboration. Three hospitals are located on campus, the UC Medical Center, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, with a total of seven hospitals in the surrounding area. With partnerships at over 300 practice sites within the Greater Cincinnati area, including the nation's first teaching hospital, students have unparalleled access to real-world learning.

Athletics

Located in the literal center of campus is Historic Nippert Stadium, home to the Cincinnati Bearcats football team. UC is home to major NCAA Division 1 athletics teams, and game days bring the energy on campus to a whole new level. The entire city comes alive to cheer on the red & black, and all games on campus are free for students so there will be plenty of opportunities to show your school spirit. Are you looking to play sports to keep that competitive spirit alive, but not play at the D-1 level? UC has over 45 club teams and 14 recreational and competitive intramural leagues to join.

College-Conservatory of Music (CCM)

Walking through the College-Conservatory of Music or CCM Village, you'll hear singers and musicians practicing every day. Nationally ranked and internationally renowned, CCM is a preeminent institution for performing and media arts. CCM is the largest single source of performing arts presentations in the state of Ohio, and students are involved in every production, both on stage and behind-the-scenes. From solo recitals to fully-staged opera, ballet and musical theater performances, many are free for you to attend. The Musical Theatre Program at CCM is the oldest in the country and was the first of its kind. And CCM is consistently recognized as one of the most represented colleges on Broadway.

Teachers, Law, & Graduate

You're standing outside of The College of Education, Criminal Justice, & Human Services. This courtyard is home to a ton of programs dedicated to making a difference in our communities. The criminal justice program is top-ranked by U.S. News & World Report. Our education majors earn roughly 1,000 hours of field experience. The College of Law, also home to the Ohio Innocence Project, has a new state-of-the-art building where it will educate and inspire the next generation of lawyers. Next door, The Graduate School offers hundreds of graduate programs, including masters, professional, and doctoral degrees.
