Stanley Academic Quad

The Peter W. Stanley Academic Quad is a landscaped courtyard providing sustainable outdoor gathering space to Mason, Crookshank and Pearsons halls. Not only is it a convenient place to sit and relax by the fountain, it also provides outdoor space for teaching and events.

Seaver Biology

Seaver Biology Building is part of the four-building Seaver Science Center. The instructional and research facility is the newest addition to the Center and was built with environmental best practices in mind. In addition to classrooms and labs, Seaver Biology features cold, warm and dark rooms, greenhouses, and a digital microscope facility.

Alexander Hall

Alexander Hall, one of the newer buildings on this historic campus, houses the lion's share of Pomona's administrative offices. It's an important stop for students and staff, housing the offices of the Registrar, Financial Aid and Parent Relations. Alexander is also home to the college's President and Deans.

Mason Hall

Here we are at Mason Hall, home to several of Pomona's Humanities departments including History, Literature, German, Russian and Romance Languages. Mason Hall is also where you'll find the Psychology Department and the Foreign Language Resource Center (FLRC). In addition to boasting the "comfiest chairs on the Pomona campus," the FLRC offers students and faculty a state-of-the-art, social facility for a range of multimedia language projects.

Mudd Science Library

Mudd Science Library, a 30,000-square-foot reference facility, was built in the 1980's to establish a central science library on campus. Mudd incorporated a half dozen existing science libraries: Astronomy/Physics, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics, and also included study, lounge and meeting space.

Millikan Laboratory

Millikan Laboratory, just east of College Avenue, is evolving into a brand new science facility. Students and faculty of Astronomy, Math and Physics will have access to approximately 45,000 square feet of instructional, research and office space, replacing the 1950's structure you see here. Students have been closely involved in the planning of the new laboratory, which will aim for LEED Gold certification and greater accessibility.

Crookshank Hall

Since 1922, Crookshank Hall has served as one of Pomona's academic buildings, though the English and Classics Departments have replaced Zoology and Botany as the building's primary tenants. It's also where you'll find the Ena H. Thomson Reading Room where you might attend a lecture, a reading series, or other special event.

Pearsons Hall

You're looking at the oldest building on campus, Pearsons Hall, completed in 1898. The Hall has served many different purposes over the years, including the original site of the college's library and Office of the President. Today the fully-updated structure houses office and instructional space for programs in the social sciences as well as the Department of Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
