Tech Tower

Welcome to Atlanta, Georgia, home of the Georgia Institute of Technology. The red-bricked Tech Tower is the architectural anchor of the Georgia Tech Historic District. It is the Institute's most recognizable landmark — a visual representation of tradition and school spirit. It is also the administrative hub for the College of Engineering and College of Sciences and has been the site of many ceremonies and important events, including a visit by U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt as well as the dedication of Tech Tower itself in honor of Lettie Pate Whitehead Evans, Tech's greatest benefactor.

Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts

The historic Savant Building is home to the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, where students acquire the broad contextual understanding that is the hallmark of training in the humanities and social sciences, as well as the technical grounding that distinguishes Georgia Tech graduates. This comprehensive approach trains Yellow Jackets to think and work across multiple disciplines and to consider the human and environmental impact of decisions — a clear advantage in the job market. Price Gilbert Memorial Library and Crosland Tower

The Georgia Tech Library defines excellence in the creation, preservation, curation, and connection of scholarship. It is open 24 hours a day when school is in session. The Library features millions of items in its circulating collection, including books, e-books, music, and movies. With its two buildings, Price Gilbert Memorial Library and Crosland Tower, the Library features 13 stories of archive, classroom, study, and studio space for Tech's students, faculty, and staff. Since the relocating of the book collection to the offsite Library Service Center and the completion of massive renovations in 2020, more windows now allow for compelling campus views, as well as spaces and technology infrastructure for data visualization, high-performance computing, multimedia studies, collaboration, and iterative design.

Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons

Clough Commons serves as an interdisciplinary facility that encourages collaboration and technologically enhanced teaching and learning. It features 41 classrooms, two 300-seat auditoriums, rehearsal rooms, first-year laboratories, and a rooftop garden. Clough Commons was built with LEED certification in mind, demonstrating Georgia Tech's commitment to the environment and sustainable design. The five-story building is open 24 hours a day most days of the year and provides common spaces with 2,100 seats and group study rooms.

College of Design

The College of Design is home to the Schools of Architecture, Building Construction, City and Regional Planning, Industrial Design, and Music. Unlike traditional art and design programs, the College of Design focuses on technologies that enable better design, using the design process to fuse technology with places, products, lifestyles, learning, and healthcare. Architecture, Industrial Design, and City and Regional Planning studios are housed in the East and West Architecture Buildings. Building Construction is housed in the John and Joyce *Caddell* Building. The School of Music teaches music technology, music ensemble classes, and conducts research in the Couch Building and in the West Village.

John Lewis Student Center and Stamps Commons

The John Lewis Student Center and Stamps Commons houses 11 dining concepts. The third floor of the building contains spaces for student programming, such as a reflection space, grad student lounge, and a multicultural lounge. Additionally, the building boasts several meeting spaces and two theaters that support student events, admission tours, and more. You will also find the post office and two floors of space dedicated to our more than 500 student organizations. The Student Center is our students' social hub and is affectionately referred to as "the living room of campus." The building is also home to Tech Rec, a bowling alley with billiards tables.

Campus Recreation Center

The Campus Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art facility offering exciting opportunities for fitness, health, and recreational activities. It gained international attention when the 1996 Olympic swimmers competed in its indoor pools. Today, aside from indoor pools for competition and recreation, the CRC offers a fitness center; weight room; indoor jogging track; climbing wall; and racquetball, squash, and basketball courts. With over 20 intramural sports annually, and more than 40 club sports, students can find and build community — through competition, fitness, and recreation — in multiple ways. Not to be outdone, Campus Recreation's outdoor recreation program, *ORGT*, is one of the most dynamic in the country, with year-round adventures near and far, including several international trips annually.

The Kendeda Building is the Southeast's most environmentally advanced building for research and education. Georgia Tech students use the classroom space to reflect on sustainability and innovation, and the building is home to a few College of Sciences teaching labs including ecology, environmental science, and Earth processes. The College's six Schools are housed in buildings all over campus and include nine Bachelor of Science degree programs. College of Computing

Welcome to the Klaus Advanced Computing Building, a gold-certified environmentally friendly building that houses more than 70 labs for the College of Computing. The College of Computing teaches students not only about technology but how to think about and apply technology to create real-world impact. The College of Computing offers customizable undergraduate degrees in computer science and computational media, as well as a minor in computer science. The curriculum is built on Threads, a concept developed at the College of Computing that allows a student to weave a personalized path and become the kind of well-rounded graduate that today's global job market demands.

Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field

Welcome to Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field, college football's oldest Division 1 on-campus stadium. Built in 1913, the playing field was originally named Grant Field after the family who funded the first concrete stands on the field's west side. Those stands were built by Tech students and remain standing today. Then, in 1988, the stadium was renamed in honor of legendary Georgia Tech Coach and Athletics Director Bobby Dodd. Most recently, in recognition of Georgia Tech's partnership with the Hyundai Motor Company, the stadium was rechristened Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field. With a capacity of 55,000, the stadium hosts Yellow Jacket football as well as many special events, including concerts and Commencement.

McCamish Pavilion

McCamish Pavilion is where students cheer on the Yellow Jackets men's and women's basketball teams. It also hosts Tech's nationally ranked volleyball program for selected home matches. Built in 2012 on the site of Tech basketball's previous home, Alexander Memorial Coliseum, McCamish Pavilion seats 8,600 and has a luxurious club area, which provides a cozy view of the court. Nearly 7,000 of the arena's 8,600 seats are in the lower bowl, which helps give the Jackets one of college basketball's most intimate and intimidating home court advantages. The arena has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects of Atlanta for its significant architectural impact on the city's landscape.

Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium

With incredible views of the Atlanta skyline, Mac Nease Baseball Park provides a brilliant backdrop for college baseball and offers one of the country's best atmospheres for the game. It was originally constructed in 1930 but underwent $14.2 million in renovations that transformed the park into a state-of-the-art, year-round facility. Following the completion of renovations in 2021, the facility was renamed Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium in honor of Tech letterwinner Mac Nease and his wife, Brenda, who directed significant philanthropy toward the upgrades.

Shirley Clements Mewborn Field

Georgia Tech's ShirleyClements Mewborn Field is one of college softball's premier facilities. Opened in 2009 at a cost of $4.9 million, it is named after Shirley Clements Mewborn, one of the first two women to receive a degree from Georgia Tech. It has a capacity of 1,500, which includes chair-back seating for 600. Whether it's in the main grandstand or in a standing-room section, all spectator areas at Mewborn Field are on top of the action and offer spectacular views of the Atlanta skyline, particularly during night games.

East Campus Housing

In our East Campus community, First-Year Experience residents live, relax, and eat together in some of the most historic buildings on campus. A few of the halls are home to the Grand Challenges and Global Leadership Living-Learning Communities. The Women, Science, and Technology and International House Communities are also located here. The GT Connector, between Towers Hall and Glenn Hall, provides residents with a fitness room, a place to relax, an area for studying with friends, and a patio. Those living on East Campus enjoy proximity to Tech Square and Bobby Dodd stadium, as well as the historic Brittain Dining Hall.

North Avenue Housing

From Tech's North Avenue apartments, you have spectacular views of downtown Atlanta. The apartments were built as athlete housing for the 1996 Summer Olympics and consist of four different residence halls: North, South, East, and West. Undergraduate students have the option of living here once they have completed their first year on campus. In fact, some of the North Avenue apartments host the Second-Year Experience, which helps second-year residents access the services and resources relevant to their second-year needs. Included in this residential village are an indoor basketball court, fitness center, outdoor sand volleyball court, and the North Avenue Dining Hall.

Graduate and Family Housing

Georgia Tech's Graduate and Family housing, with easy access to Atlanta's MARTA transit, offers perfect accommodations for single graduate and undergraduate students, as well as those with families. The Graduate Living Center has four-bedroom furnished apartments for single students, and includes a spacious lobby, activity room, and laundry facility. Tenth and Home has both two-bedroom furnished apartments for single graduate students and one- or two-bedroom unfurnished apartments for those with families. Conveniently located within Tenth and Home is The Children's Campus @ Georgia Tech, catering to the needs of students with infant through pre-K children.

And living on West Campus — where five apartment complexes were built for the 1996 Olympic Village — places you near to the Campus Recreation Center, intramural fields, and West Village Dining.
