WELCOME to Vermont State University's Lyndon campus. We're so glad to have you here! Our Virtual Tour will introduce you to some of what makes the Lyndon campus a special place to live and learn. Along the way, you'll be treated to views of our 211-acre hilltop campus and the surrounding area that will take your breath away! With our low student-to-faculty ratio, students develop strong relationships with supportive professors, and our flexible and affordable education works for our students, too. Vermont State's emphasis on experiential learning means you'll enjoy many opportunities to try out different roles in your field throughout your education. Let's get started!

At Vermont State, we offer the spaces and resources for students to pursue their academic passions. One such space is the Donald and Carmella Dalton Weather Center. This top-line facility for students in the Atmospheric Sciences program is available 24/7 and displays real-time weather data across a wall of eight monitors. The center's capabilities, and proximity to the John Marshall Observation Deck, make it a popular gathering spot when a big storm is on the way!

Drawing tablets, light tables, paints, and DLSR cameras give students the professional tools they need to create their art no matter the style. With three Mac labs, including one with 24-hour access, students always have a place to work!
Hands-On Learning

Vermont State students learn hands-on in programs and courses from the sciences and education to communications — like in the News7 newsroom pictured here. One of only thirty live, daily, student-run broadcasts in the country, the Lyndon campus's Emmy award-winning News7 broadcasts across multiple platforms to 10,000 households in fourteen Northeast Kingdom towns. Students work as anchors, meteorologists, producers, directors, and support technicians for the station, building the hands-on skills that directly prepare them for their successful careers.
