WELCOME to Vermont State University's Johnson campus. We're so glad to have you here! Our Virtual Tour will introduce you to some of what makes the Johnson campus a special place to live and learn. Along the way, you'll be treated to views of our 350-acre hilltop campus and the surrounding area that will take your breath away!
With our low student-to-faculty ratio, students develop strong relationships with supportive professors, and our flexible and affordable education works for our students, too. Vermont State's emphasis on experiential learning means you'll enjoy many opportunities to try out different roles in your field throughout your education. Let's get started!

An airy, light-filled contemporary gallery located in the Dibden Center, the Julian Scott Memorial Gallery, pictured here, is the main visual arts exhibit venue on campus. The gallery hosts exhibits by our Fine Arts students and work by faculty and visual artists from around the region and world. The gallery is named for one of Vermont's most notable artists who lived in Johnson and was a decorated Union Army soldier and drummer during the Civil War, as well as an accomplished painter and Civil War artist. One of his largest paintings of the Civil War, "The Battle of Cedar Creek," hangs in the Vermont State House lobby in Montpelier.
