"This center serves as a multi-functional location providing most student services including Academic Counseling, CalWORKS, Career & Transfer Center, Disabled Student Program & Services, Financial Aid, Job Opportunity Services, and Student Fees among many others.
In our Career Center, we help students research careers to find which are best suited for them. Our Career Counselors are also available to meet with students and answer any questions you may have.
Our Office of CalWORKS helps provide educational and career opportunities to students so they can enter the workforce. Through advocacy work with our college and community partners, we prepare a key segment of the California workforce."
Student Union Building (The Hub)

Our Student Union is The Hub of campus. Here you’ll find our campus dining. Students can visit Fresh Seasons Café or our cafeteria. The Campus Café also offers affordable customized catering for small to large luncheons and barbecues. Student clubs use this service to host events and activities. The Veterans Resource Center also located in the Student Union welcomes military veterans and family members wishing to further their education. Academcis counselors specializing in Veteran services are available to provide educational and career planning. In addition, Student Health Services, NextUp and our newly renovated Food Pantry are located within the Student Union Building.
Learning Resource Center (LRC)

The library serves both students and faculty with curriculum and research needs. Students and staff have access to books, periodicals, magazines and many online resources. There are 14 student study rooms for individual, small, and large study groups. In addition to these services, students can borrow course textbooks, computers, and iPads for in library use only. There are faculty reference librarians and library technicians on-site who are available to help students with research assignments or any other library related questions.
Child Development Center (CDC)

The Child Development Center is a center-based facility that serves children from 4 months to 5 years of age. On campus childcare is available for children of students. The infant/preschool educational program serves as a laboratory for students majoring in Child Development. This developmental program helps nurture and facilitate growth while fostering diversity and encouraging critical thinking for children.
Interdisciplinary Academic Center (IAC)

"Referred to as the IAC, this center is comprised of 3 buildings which include: 42 faculty offices, 16 classrooms and 3 computer labs for the Social Science and Humanities departments.
An archeological display of ancient animal fossils and cultural items are exhibited within the Social Science wing. Students in this wing earn their elementary or secondary teaching credential at one of the California State Universities. Classes held here range from anthropology and archeology to geography and sociology.
Students in the Humanities Department focus on cultural, intellectual and aesthetic development through history with an integration of multi-cultural influences."
Allied Health Complex (AHC)

"The Allied Health Complex contains state-of-the-art medical technology and simulation labs that allow students a “hands on” style of training in a health care career. Classrooms are replications of real-life medical rooms. Merced College also maintains a partnership with Mercy Medical Center Merced which allows our students to complete on-site clinical training just across the street from our main campus.
The School of Health Sciences includes Registered, Vocational, and Nursing Assistant Programs. In addition to the assistant programs, this area also hold Diagnostic Technology, Emergency Medical technology and other health programs."
Industrial Technology Building (IT)

Industrial Technology is designed to provide hands-on training in a wide range of technical careers such as Automotive, Drafting, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, and Welding. To support student success the location comes complete with vehicle lifts, diagnostic machines, painting tools, welding shops and electronic labs. Our Industrial Technology Programs are designed to offer training for high tech, high wage jobs in a variety of career sectors. Our programs can be completed within one or two semesters.
Mechanized Agriculture Building (MECH AG)

Mechanized Agriculture offers Diesel Equipment Technology and Mechanized Agriculture. Different subject areas are covered through hands on training on current model tractors and vintage designs. Our Diesel Equipment Technology is a program based on “hands-on” skills development. Course time is 30 percent in the classroom and 70 percent working in an authentic shop atmosphere while being supervised by trained faculty instructors. Merced College features a spacious shop, equipped with the latest model agriculture equipment and up-to-date vehicles. Students are given state-of-the-art tools required to repair the most complex machinery. Our inventory of equipment and training aids allow students to maximize their “hands-on” experience on both vintage and current market equipment.
Plant Science Building (PS)

"Plant Science offers Landscape Horticulture as well as Crop Science. Both programs are designed to meet the need for trained personnel in a broad range of occupations related to the agriculture industry. Plant Science features laboratory classrooms, growing grounds and a modern nursery for potting.
Students take an active role in the farming operations by helping maintain 240 acres of cropland by utilizing the latest equipment and methods. Students not only gain a theoretical knowledge of crop production but a hands-on practical application.
Landscape Horticulture students receive a well-rounded training by being exposed to courses dealing with the entire range of activities within that particular area of focus. "

Students can explore the diverse industry of agriculture production through courses covering areas such as Agriculture Business, Animal Science, Landscape Horticulture and Crop science. Our agricultural studies programs also provide students with entry level employment opportunities and skills, which also give them the opportunity to transfer to the university system.

Merced College offers a variety of art courses to fulfill students’ academic and creative needs. Courses include photography, sculpture, graphic design, pottery, drawing, oil painting, and many more. Alongside the Theater, the Art Gallery features a wide variety of art exhibits. The gallery is free to the public and used to enhance our students’ education in the arts while presenting a cultural opportunity to the community.
Merced College Theater (THE)

"Seating 500 spectators, the Merced College Theater holds musical and drama productions presented by students, faculty, and community members. Drama courses prepare students for pre-professional theatre work, community theatre work, and some specialized bachelor programs.
Merced College Theater hosts innovative events such as The Last Masquerade: an Interactive Haunted House during Halloween. The Merced College Theater Society is a student club supporting students and activities within the Theater Arts Department."
Music Building (MUS)

The music program at MC is both comprehensive and dynamic. Classes are offered in the areas of performance, music history, theory, instrumental and vocal technique, musical theatre, as well as general education music courses. Coursework offered in the music program is easily applied to transfer requirements, professional study, and work experience. Students obtain music music skills in theory and musicianship, applied music and ensemble performance. Coursework is designed for students to complete within the first two years of their major.
Merced College Gymnasium (GYM)

The Merced College Gymnasium is open year round and seats 2,500 spectators. The space holds Blue Devil men and women’s basketball and volleyball games. They also offer a varies of course in physical education such as badminton, fencing, and circuit weight training. Within the gym is the fitness lab, which is enjoyed by students, staff and athletes. Another feature is our Olympic size swimming pool, which is 16 feet deep and holds aquatic class such as swimming and water polo.
Science Building (SCI)

"Home of the Science, Math and Engineering departments, the Science Building offers a wide variety of courses from general to major specific. The space features 8 lecture and 9 laboratory classrooms as well as offices for faculty and staff. Available courses can be used to help students transfer to a four-year university.
Students can also get help from math instructors, checkout computers and graphing calculators on the second floor of the Science Building in the Math Lab. Also within this building is the Science, Math and Engineer Student Resource Center. Known as “The Cave”, this resource was created to support student learning and offers a quiet place to study. "
Vocational Building (VOC)

The Vocational Building houses a variety of courses such as computer science, business courses, public safety and criminal justice. It is also home to career technical courses such as Drafting Technology and Electrical Engineering. Each different lab offers students an immersive, hands-on style of job training in their specific field of study. The Department also works closely with the larger community by providing off-site public safety programs such as Emergency Medical Care and Fire Technology. The Vocational Building also hosts the International Student Services Office, which promotes awareness, perspective and understanding of international cultures.

"The Administration Building houses the Merced College President, Superintendent and Vice President’s offices. Administrative service departments located here include Human Resources, Payroll, Fiscal Services, the Office of Institutional Advancement and Environmental Health and Safety — all of which serve as essential support in the operation of Merced College.
Students can call the Switchboard, located here, as a reference desk for general campus information such as building locations, hours of operation as well as campus resources and events.
The Office of External Relations offers a variety of public relations, community outreach and fundraising activities that all serve to develop the public image of Merced College and build lasting and beneficial relationships. "
Business Resource Center

"The Business Resource Center has become the focal point for business training programs since opening in 2007. The BRC features many services, including the Office of Community Services, the Career Advancement Academy and English as a Second Language training.
The Office of Community Services provides opportunities for education, enrichment and adventure. These courses are not-for-credit and range from ceramics to yoga.
The Career Advancement Academy offers vocational training programs designed so the adult learner can meet the current needs and challenges of today’s job market through hands-on activities and community-based externships. "
