The University of Denver Sturm College of Law resides in the Frank H. Ricketson, Jr. Law Building. Completed in 2003, the Ricketson Law Building sits at the heart of the DU campus. Close to all the University of Denver has to offer, including the light rail station and the Ritchie Center for sports and wellness, the DU campus is just a few miles from Downtown Denver. Built with DU's signature blend of red brick, limestone and copper, the building's many environmentally conscious features include smart lighting, water reclamation systems and electric vehicle charging stations. In fact, our law school is distinguished as the nation's first certified ""green"" law school building." Inside the Ricketson Law Building, the halls are filled with students sharing their law school experiences with classmates and providing encouragement to their fellow students. With so many unique degree options to consider, students from across the nation pursue their legal education together, learning about areas of the law as diverse as the students themselves. All of the faculty and staff at Denver Law are dedicated to helping you balance academics with the outside world and help you focus on what matters to you: your career, your future and your life in law.

Students at the Sturm College of Law don't just study the law, they experience it. Our Moot Court Room, the largest classroom in the building, also serves as a courtroom setting for visits from the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals or our annual Judges' Day event, where our students develop their practical skills in a real-world setting. The mock trial room is where our Center for Advocacy prepares students in trial practice, offering their first experience arguing a case. DU's top-ranked Clinical Program lives in the Student Law Office—the first legal aid dispensary in the nation. Our students gain real-world practical skills working with actual clients, many of whom are underserved community members giving our students experience with public interest issues. Our legal writing department, the Lawyering Process Program, offers incoming students their first experience drafting briefs and honing their writing skills to meet the rigorous standards of a law firm.

Westminster Law Library

At the center of the law school lives the Westminster Law Library. Occupying three floors, Westminster is one of the largest law libraries in the country and serves as your gateway to legal resources and publications in a wide variety of formats. The library is an invaluable resource for legal research and offers ample room for quiet study and exam preparation including more than a dozen private study rooms. Our renowned research librarians offer students comprehensive, innovative program of legal research instruction.
